Huxley

Showhomes and fresh asphalt are still part of the scenery in Huxley, a community on Calgary's east side that's actively being built out. Streets fill in gradually here, and most residents are owners who moved in before the neighbourhood was fully formed — people who know which lots are still available and which blocks are finishing up. For daily errands, the Walmart Supercentre and Bulk Barn over in Belvedere cover the basics, a short drive away. An east-side bus connection links through to the LRT, putting downtown within reach without needing to drive. The Garden Road Seventh-Day Adventist Church is one of the older anchors in a landscape still taking shape — a reminder that some people put down roots here well before the current wave of construction caught up around them.
