Dover

The schools are a good way to read Dover — Valley View, St. Damien, and the Niitsitapi Learning Centre all sit within the neighbourhood, and families have long organized their days around them. The commercial strip runs more toward restaurants and takeout than retail; the Dover IDA Pharmacy handles the practical errands. An east-west bus connection runs toward McKnight–Westwinds and Chinook Station, giving the neighbourhood transit reach in both directions without much fuss. On summer evenings, Valleyview Spray Park and the off-leash area at Slater Park are where people actually gather — dogs, kids, nothing organized. Emmanuel Community Church and St. Luke's Anglican Church have been fixtures here long enough that both run community programming woven into the neighbourhood's daily fabric.
