The bus routes out of Christie Park — west to Coach Hill and Discovery Ridge, looping back through the corridor — trace the daily movement of Calgary's west end, and that's a reasonable summary of how this neighbourhood works. It's a base: quiet, owner-occupied streets that people leave for work or errands and come back to at the end of the day. Most of those errands end up in Signal Hill, a couple of kilometres east, where the Real Canadian Superstore, Safeway, and Sunterra Market West Market Square sit within easy reach of each other and the Westside Recreation Centre covers fitness and programming. For a quicker grocery run in the other direction, Sobeys in Strathcona Park is closer still.
