Shawnee Slopes

The two congregations here — Peace Lutheran Church and South Gate Alliance — reflect what holds Shawnee Slopes together: community life organized through institutions rather than commercial strips. Streets are quiet and the housing stock is established, with tended yards and homes that have been in place long enough to have proper trees. Most errands pull residents outward toward Canyon Meadows or Braeside, where the commercial presence picks up. For getting around, a direct bus route runs out to Somerset-Bridlewood Station and connects to LRT from there, while additional routes cover the Southwest Loop for destinations across the south end.
