The grass ridge above the Stampede grounds is what people remember first — you can watch the fireworks without a ticket from up there, or just stand on a weekday morning and look at downtown framed by the valley. Below it, Ramsay runs quieter than the Beltline five minutes north: older housing stock, narrower lots, a few blocks of commercial where the restaurants have drawn people from across the city for years. Ramsay School anchors one end of the neighbourhood, and the streets nearby carry the feel of a place where families and renters have long sorted themselves out without much ceremony. The Stampede Pathway cuts through the south end, connecting to the river system and giving the neighbourhood more outdoor reach than you'd expect.
