Day-to-day, North Haven Upper is quiet and residential: houses with driveways, bus routes running south for the downtown commute, and enough buffer from commercial strips that the streets feel settled by evening. When the weekend calls for it, residents pull from neighbouring communities — the Forbes Innes Arena in Thorncliffe, the Highwood Outdoor Pool in Highwood, or the Murray Copot Arena and Judith Umbach Library further into Huntington Hills. The neighbourhood itself provides the calm; the activity lives just outside it.
